Middle Collegiate Church is a multiethnic/multiracial church. We believe leadership is rooted in individual spiritual practices and nurtured in a spiritual community. From the planning of our worship celebrations to adult education, it is part of our mission to grow leaders and deploy activists for racial justice, economic justice, and LGBTI justice. If you are outside of New York City, our worship celebrations stream live each Sunday at 11:15 am (EST).

We are in a close partnership with The Middle Project, a non-profit institute that prepares ethical leaders for a just society. Each year The Middle Project produces The Revolutionary Love Conference for clergy and lay leaders to learn skills to build multiethnic/multiracial congregations.

The RACE problem? We're not finished! Over 300 of you created a learning agenda at Middle Church in 2016, bringing wisdom and a thirst for love and justice that was awe-inspiring.The intervening months have been filled with so much violence and an escalation of hate-filled discourse. Our nation continues to be in a crisis, a state of dis-ease.

Let's come together. To strategize. To build on our foundation. To dismantle racism. Our 2017 conference Revolutionary Love: Disruptive Ethics to Dismantle Racism will be held at Middle Church April 28-30, 2017. Register here

The Middle Project also offers an interfaith Leadership Initiative for Young Adults (ages 20-40). The leadership laboratory teaches young professionals how to navigate conflict, create change, community organize, assess personal leadership strengths, understand race and culture, and engage in spiritual practices. The curriculum was partially informed by research by the Public Religion and Research Institute’s study on Millennials, faith, and social justice.
