Jerriese Johnson Gospel Choir: The Storm is Passing Over

Founded in 1986 by East Village actor and singer Jerriese Johnson, the Jerriesse Johnson Gospel Choir at Middle Church has sung at Carnegie Hall, on The Today Show, and in the annual New York City Pride March. This multiracial choir sings a mixture of gospel, pop, spirituals, and more. They draw an international audience online and in worship at Middle Church. This choir will move your feet, lift your spirit, and stir your soul.

Suggested Admission is $20 for general seating. There is a sliding scale for tickets—pay what you can or donate generously. Purchase your tickets on Eventbrite.

Doors open at 2 pm for the 2:30 pm concert. Proceeds support racial and LGBTQ justice at Middle Church.

The Jerriese Johnson Gospel Choir is directed by John Del Cueto and accompanied by Dionne McClain-Freeney and the Middle Church Band.
